1The one-sentence version

FocoDay has no server holding your personal data and doesn’t ask for an account or login — your tasks and routines are stored only on your own device, and the only data that ever leaves it goes to two specific service providers (subscription billing and ad delivery), described in section 4.

2Data that stays on your device

Everything you create in FocoDay — tasks, reminders, routines, habits, focus sessions, Procrastinated history — is saved in a local database (SQLite) inside the app itself. We, the developers of FocoDay, never receive that information: it never passes through any server of ours.

Export/Import (Premium feature). When you generate a manual backup, FocoDay creates a local file that you choose where to save or who to share it with (through the system’s own share sheet). That sharing is your own action, not automatic — FocoDay doesn’t keep a copy in any cloud of its own.

3Permissions we ask for

PERMISSIONWHAT IT’S FOR
CalendarShow, in your FocoDay Agenda, the events that already exist in your device’s native calendar. Reading happens locally; nothing is sent to FocoDay servers.
NotificationsRemind you at the time of a task or reminder. These are scheduled locally on your device — there’s no push server behind them.
Cross-app tracking (ATT)Asked once, only for people on the free version, to decide whether ads shown can be personalized (see section 4). Declining doesn’t limit any feature of the app.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your iOS/Android system settings — the app keeps working, just without the associated feature.

4Third-party services

FocoDay uses two outside service providers, each with a specific and limited purpose:

RevenueCatPREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION

Handles validating your purchase/subscription with the App Store or Google Play. It receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app and transaction data passed along by the store itself — never your name, email, or payment details, which stay with Apple/Google. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Google AdMobADS · FREE VERSION ONLY

Shows ads to people who aren’t Premium subscribers. If you allow tracking (Apple’s prompt on first launch), AdMob may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) for more relevant ads; if you decline, AdMob shows only non-personalized ads. Premium subscribers never see ads. See how Google uses data in ads.

5What we don’t do

  • We don’t create user accounts or ask for a login — there’s no way to tie your data to a central identity.
  • We don’t sell, rent, or share your data with third parties beyond the two services listed in section 4, and only for the purposes described there.
  • We don’t use any analytics, behavior-tracking, or usage-metrics tool of our own.
  • We don’t read the content of your tasks — the app runs locally, without sending that content to any server.

6Children

FocoDay is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

7Deleting your data

Since everything is saved locally, uninstalling FocoDay permanently deletes your tasks, routines, and history from the device. If you made a manual backup (section 2), it only exists wherever you saved it — delete it separately if you’d like. For data retained by RevenueCat or Apple/Google related to your subscription, contact those services directly or reach out via the email in section 9.

8Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top of the page will be updated. We recommend revisiting this page from time to time, especially before renewing a subscription.
